Junk food and big screen tv's water has been replaced with gatoraid, and crops are dying the President of the US is a wrestling champion https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0387808/plotsummary?ref_=tt_ov_pl 2005 Nanny McPhee Emma Thompson, Colin Firth Director: Kirk Jones 2005 Mr. and Mrs. Smith Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie Director: Doug Liman 2005 Casanova Heath Ledger, Jeremy Irons, Sienna Miller Director: Lasse Hallström I enjoyed the film it was a great farce, with twists and turns lots of inneuendo and role reversal, like Shakespeare, women pretending to be men and a not so subtle shot at men as pigs. Heath Ledger, The lead was the guy in "Knights", and the younger brother in the "Brothers Grimm" he was ok, I would have prefered a more sophisticated, debonaire Casanova, he was a bit too lack-luster, I was hoping for more sparkling dialogue, The heroine, Francesa, Sienna Miller, was a strong woman and despised Casanova and all that he stood for. She posed as a man twice, first to get her works published, and then fought a duel with Casanova to protect her virgin brother. Casanova goes to a ball, where he has two fiancee's at, one as himself and another where he is posing as someone else, and the Inquisition is after him as well. Jeremey Irons is the evil Bishop. Leaving the theatre; I actually said, how did this movie get an R rating, there was no overt nudity and as I said mostly suggestive language, no foul words at all. Then Maggie reminded me of one scene early on, it was probably two seconds, and yes that was explicit, and if they had shot that one scene differently, the movie could have be rated PG-13. All they had to do was throw a blanket over them and film the blanket moving, to carry the plot forward. There were several side plots, and funny moments. worth renting, not a great movie; but a fun one ------------------------------------------------------------ 2004 The Incredibles animation, Director: Brad Bird 2 - 2018 3 - in development 2004 Around the world in 80 days Jackie Chan Steve Coogan and Cecile de France Walt Disney Director: Frank Coraci 2002 banchieri di Dio The Bankers of God, the Calvi Affair Giancarlo Giannini This movie attempts to reconstruct the bankruptcy of the Banco Ambrosiano and its liaisons with the Vatican and the Masonry through the story of its President Roberto Calvi (Omero Antonutti), who was notoriously found dead under the Blackfriars Bridge in London, England in June 1982. 1983 PBS Frontline: God's Banker (1983) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UR53qpsObfU 2001 Mists of Avalon, Anjelica Huston as Viviane, Director: Uli Edel based on the novel of the same name by Marion Zimmer Bradley, TV mini-series later edited into a feature-length film 2001 Swordfish John Travolta, Halle Berry, Director: Dominic Sena 2000 Saving Grace Brenda Blethyn Craig Ferguson Director: Nigel Cole 1999 The Mummy Brendan Fraser, Rachel Weisz, Patricia Velasquez (Anck Su Namun) Director: Stephen Sommers 1999 Galaxy Quest Tim Allen, Sigourney Weaver, Alan Rickman, Tony Shalhoub 1999 The Ninth Gate Johnny Depp Emmanuelle Seigner Director: Roman Polanski 1999 Thomas Crown Affair Pierce Brosnan, Faye Dunaway Rene Russo Director: John McTiernan remake of 1968 Thomas Crown Affair 1997 The Fifth Element Bruce Willis, Milla Jovovich, Gary Oldman Director: Luc Besson Diva Plavalaguna played by Maiwenn Le Besco, married to Luc Besson(1992-1997) Maiwenn was 20 at the beginning of filming (early 1996) for The Fifth Element, during which Besson left her for the film's star, Milla Jovovich. 1997 Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil Director: Clint Eastwood book: 1994 author John Berendt Bird Girl 5 Bronze copies made, one in Reading PA, sculptress was Sylvia Shaw Judson https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bird_Girl 1996 The Long Kiss Goodnight Gena Davis, Samuel L. Roman a clef is French for novel with a key, is a novel about real-life events overlaid with a facade of fiction. The fictitious names in the novel represent real people, and the "key" is the relationship between the non-fiction and the fiction. Readers of Dangerous Liaisons claimed to be able to find certain keys in Choderlos de Laclos's descriptions of his personages which linked them to actual individuals in society.
